Mock OSCE Clinical Examination and Practical Skills Course

This one-to-four course provides four pre-registration optometrists an opportunity to undertake 5 mock OSCE practical stations each while the other three trainees observe. Each trainee is exposed to a total of 20 practical stations based on the 75 GOC elements of competence.

This one-to-four course provides four pre-registration optometrists an opportunity to undertake 5 mock OSCE practical stations each while the other three trainees observe. Each trainee is exposed to a total of 20 practical stations based on the 75 GOC elements of competence.  The course takes approximately five hours and feedback is given immediately after the trainee has performed the practical station. Feedback includes what went well, areas for improvement and how to record findings. The course also includes a question and answer session giving trainees the opportunity to ask any questions.
